Gill Books

Gill Books is one of Ireland's largest and longest-established publishing houses, based in Dublin. Founded in 1968 as Gill and Macmillan through a partnership between M.H. Gill & Son and Macmillan Publishers, it became fully independent as Gill Books in 2013. The house publishes a broad Irish list spanning history, current affairs, biography, cookery, sport, children's books, memoir and travel, and represents many of Ireland's best-known non-fiction authors. This author entry represents Gill Books as a corporate author. It is used for house-compiled titles — travel guides, gift books, cookery compilations and reference works — that are credited to the publisher rather than a named individual.
